Not only have Allie's hands found her feet, but also her mouth has discovered them! Personally, I think she's just excited that she has found a new way to pull her socks off!

Allie loves to go new places and do new things. She loves to go to the store and the mall. She loves going for rides in her stroller. And, she loves playing with her Daddy. She likes flying in the air and getting Daddy kisses. At least once a day, she has a "giggle fit" where she laughs and laughs for several minutes. She has the most adorable laugh ever! Her smiles are often quite mischievous!

Leave us a comment!!!

Hello Family and Friends!!!

Well, finally after close to a year, I figured out how to enable you to add comments to our blog! So, if you'd like to leave us little messages, feel free to do so. Just click on the "0 (or whatever number happens to be there) comments" link at the bottom of whichever post and type in whatever's on your mind!!

Thanks for keeping up with our "goings on." I am very thankful for technology so we can keep you up to date on all of Allie's growth! By the way, Allie is getting closer every day to crawling. She is really amazing. Her strength at sitting up is impressive, also. She continues to show teething signs, so I wake up every day expecting to see a little white shining through those poor little gums. In the meantime, I keep her teether in the fridge when it's not being used and understand that my fingers are fair game for her to gnaw on as well!

We'll keep you posted and let you know as soon as she achieves any of these "firsts!"

What a Stinker!

Allie continues to get bigger and more grown up every day. She gurgles and coos and shrieks constantly. She is a very busy baby. Of course, most of that time is spent eating now that she is eating cereal twice a day in addition to nursing 6-7 times a day.

Yesterday, I put her in some blue jean overalls that have been a little big to this point. She was just so cute, I had to conduct an impromptu photo shoot!

While Mama happily snapped away, Allie's hunger and sleepiness grew. Here's what she looked like at the end of the shoot:

Last night, she had some quality "Daddy time" while Mama washed dishes.

This morning, she "ate" her oatmeal; but, as usual, I was left with the sad fact that more got ON her than IN her. What a messy eater!

Weekend Fun

We have certainly had an exciting weekend! It started early with a visit from two of Joy's best friends, Janna Johnston and Gabrielle Hill. They came to meet Allie, and the girls had so much fun hanging out, talking and shopping. Then, Saturday evening brought snow--not much, but enough to take some pictures to record Allie's first snow!

Cuddles with Uncle Justin

Allie met her Uncle Justin yesterday. He came all the way from Wisconsin to see her. She enjoyed sharing hugs and kisses with him. After he left this morning, she spent some time "talking" to her reflection in the mirror on her play gym--too cute!!

A Tired Day

Allie has been very tired and icky today thanks to her shots from yesterday, but we managed to have some fun as well. Since the weather was nice, Joy and Allie went for a long walk around campus and through the historic district. Allie enjoys looking all around, taking in the scenery, now that she's big enough to sit in her stroller without the carrier. The last five or ten minutes of the walk, Allie fell asleep--how cute!

She spent some time sitting up next to her Daddy after he got home from work and she woke up from her nap.

While taking her pre-bedtime bottle, Allie just grabbed on to it with both hands! Joy kept her hand on the end just in case Allie dropped it, but she was holding it on her own.

SO BIG!!

Today was Allie's four-month appointment. She has definitely grown!! She is 23.75 inches long with a head circumference of 39 cm. And, the best part, she weighs just shy of 11 lbs.--10 lbs., 15.9 oz., to be exact!

Allie did well with her shots, she's just very sleepy and achy and off her schedule, which could mean for a long night for mama and daddy!

LSU won the national title last night. In preparation for the big event, we dressed Allie up in her LSU outfit and took some pictures. She's a great little model!!

Allie's an Eating Machine

Last night we started Allie on rice cereal. She did great! At first, she switched back and forth from looking confused to frustrated to upset to curious. About halfway through the meal, she started smiling and really getting into eating from her spoon. She even tried to hold the spoon!! She ate half the cereal I mixed up before getting a little antsy, so I take that as a great accomplishment!

Below are some pictures from her first meal and then some miscellaneous ones. Enjoy!

A couple of signs that Allie was ready to start eating solids were her desire to chew on everything within a mile radius of her mouth and the early signs of teething, including enjoying a refrigerated teething ring. Also, Allie has been sitting in her highchair while Tony and Joy eat dinner every night since after Christmas.

Getting ready for a nap...she's finally taking two!!

Allie's discovered her feet make good toys!

Allie loves her Daddy, and she likes to pull his beard!

Beautiful Baby!!

Christmas pics...FINALLY!!

I know, I know. It's taken me long enough! Here are some Christmas pics. Allie was adorable. She sat in her chair while we opened all her gifts. She enjoyed grabbing everything and especially liked chewing on her clothes! Tony gave Joy an awesome camera for Christmas, so you should notice an increase in the quality of the pictures on here. Joy managed to take more than 300 pictures between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day; but, don't worry, we won't post all of them!

Trying out the new camera...

Spending time with family...

Allie really enjoyed watching Uncle Dominick make a chicken sandwich; however, she was pretty upset when she realized he wasn't making it for her!
